  1. This is used to control the motions of the shutter system and azimuth of the observatory dome.
  2. The operator has the option to use the hand held control paddle or the push button control system.
6. Electrical contactor bars (slip rings)
  1. A set of electrical contacts fitted into the observatory dome skirt.
  2. Brush contact is made to carry continuous power to the shutter drive system.
  3. This allows the operator to open or close the shutter for any azimuth location without having to connect and disconnect power.
