002 * I purchased a cupcake mold and kit from Stewart Dollhouse Creations. I am very glad Ruth Stewart offered this in a kit form. It was a lot of fun making cupcakes on my own. This was the original version of the kit. The newer version, which features a silicon mold, is even nicer! * I purchased a cupcake mold and kit from Stewart Dollhouse Creations. Then you insert a small piece of Sculpey polymer clay into the mold. * The kit came with foil sheets in different colors. You punch out small circles of foil and press them into the cupcake mold. 006 * The final product! I also purchased the cupcake frosting mix from Ruth Stewart. After the frosting has been applied, I added some brown micro-beads which look like little chocolate sprinkles. * The final product! I also purchased the cupcake frosting mix from Ruth Stewart. 007 * The cupcakes look good enough to eat! Not bad for a first attempt. Having done this small project, I have even more respect for Ruth Stewart and other miniature artists. * The cupcakes look good enough to eat! Not bad for a first attempt. 008 * This is a close-up of my Thanksgiving cupcakes (made using the Ruth Stewart cupcake kit). The tea tray was made from a laser kit (also from Ruth Stewart). The kit is slightly modifieds since when I was putting it together, I broke one of the handles. I cut off both handles and replaced them with little scraps from another laser kit - punch-outs from the shutters of the Gypsy Wagon. I painted the handles with metallic paint. * This is a close-up of my Thanksgiving cupcakes (made using the Ruth Stewart cupcake kit). 010 * Here is my very first attempt at making a polymer clay layer cake. I found an online tutorial. It was fun to do. My first attempt did not turn out too bad. Note: In case you are wondering about the green dots, I took the photo of the cake on top of my laptop. You can see that it is plugged in and in sleep mode. * Here is my very first attempt at making a polymer clay layer cake. I found an online tutorial. It was fun to do.
