043 * This is Honey to whom I dedicated the bakeshop. Her real name was Frances Lillian Cleary (nee Williams), but she never used the name Frances, and very few people ever called her Lillian. To everyone, friends and family alike, she was always Honey. She was my maternal grandfather's youngest sister and she was born November 4, 1911. This picture was probably taken in the 1930's. I always loved this photo of her. She looked like a movie star.Honey was a very talented crafter. She crocheted beautifully, sewed and she made all sorts of wonderful little crafts. She made us wonderful Halloween costumes every year when we were kids. One summer, I remember working with her to refinish and refurbish my Mom's old dollhouse. That's a fond memory I still treasure. While I painted the house on the picnic table under the birch tree in her backyard, she stiched wonderful little curtains and crocheted rugs. I also have many fond memories of enjoying tea with her in her lovely little pink kitchen. Pink was her favorite color. She passed away on Christmas Day, 2006 so she never got to see this bakeshop. I so wish I could have shared it with her because she would have loved it. I chose to paint it pink in memory of her and I often think of her when I'm decorating it. I love you Honey and still miss you. * This is Honey to whom I dedicated the bakeshop.
